Privacy Policy
Effective date: January 1, 2026 · Last updated: October 4, 2026
1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, including:
Contact and identity information
- Name, email address, mailing address, and phone number
- Organization or congregation name and role, if you register as a partner, provider, or volunteer, or sign up through our Join form, along with your ZIP code and whether you want to serve, need help or want to partner
Donation information
- Gift amount, frequency (one-time or monthly), and fund designation
- Billing name and address associated with a donation, for receipting purposes
- A transaction confirmation or token from our payment processor confirming a gift was completed
Communications
- Information you provide when you contact us, request support, or report a need
2. What we don't collect or store
We also do not use third-party advertising trackers, ad-retargeting pixels, or data brokers to build profiles about visitors. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share donor lists with other organizations for their own marketing purposes.
3. How we use your information
- Process and acknowledge donations, and issue tax-deductible giving receipts
- Verify and onboard faith partners, emergency management partners, and certified providers
- Respond to inquiries, support requests, and reported needs
- Contact people who sign up through our Join form about serving, getting help or partnering with F3
- Send updates about F3's work, unless you opt out
- Maintain accurate financial and organizational records as required by law and by our 501(c)(3) obligations
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents
4. Cookies and tracking
Our website uses only the minimum technical storage needed for the site to function correctly. Our site is hosted by Cloudflare, which handles basic technical information, such as your IP address, to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks. We do not run separate analytics or tracking scripts. The weather tool remembers the last ZIP code you entered in your own browser so it can show it again next time, and that ZIP code is not sent to F3. Our Join form also uses Cloudflare Turnstile, a bot-protection (CAPTCHA) service, to tell people from automated programs; it is not used for advertising or profiling. The donation form on our Donate page is provided by Givebutter and may set its own cookies or similar storage needed to process your gift securely; Givebutter’s use of that information is governed by its own privacy policy. We do not deploy advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If that changes in the future, this policy will be updated in advance and, where required by law, we will ask for your consent.
5. How we share information
We share information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Donation processing: with Givebutter, our donation platform, and its payment processors, solely to complete, confirm, and receipt your donation
- Service providers: with vendors who help us operate the site, store and deliver Join form sign-ups and email communications, or provide technical infrastructure, under confidentiality obligations
- Legal requirements: when required to comply with a law, subpoena, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of F3 or others
- With your consent: any other sharing will only happen with your permission
We do not sell or rent personal information to third parties.
6. Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we hold from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Because payment card and bank details are never stored on our own systems, that category of sensitive financial data is not a target of our servers at all. It resides only with our PCI-DSS-compliant payment processor. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Data retention
We retain donor and partner information for as long as needed to provide services, maintain accurate financial and tax records, comply with legal and accounting obligations, and support our nonprofit reporting requirements. When information is no longer needed for these purposes, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
8. Your rights and choices
You may:
- Ask us what personal information we hold about you and request a copy
- Ask us to correct inaccurate information
- Ask us to delete your information, subject to our legal and tax record-keeping obligations
- Opt out of email communications at any time using the unsubscribe link, or by contacting us directly
To exercise any of these choices, contact us using the information below.
9. Tax-deductibility and receipts
F3 is recognized as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. Donations are generally tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. We use the billing information associated with your gift solely to issue an accurate giving receipt and to maintain the financial records required of a nonprofit organization.
10. Children's privacy
Our website and donation forms are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. We will post the updated policy on this page with a revised "last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated more prominently where appropriate.
